Modern Outline announce a new series of one piece MACHINED STEEL CRANKSHAFTS to suit 3/16” axles.
The crankshafts are in one piece and need only a 3/16” axle to complete. Follow the method of fully soldering a 3/16” axle in place in the crankshaft and then removing the obstructing part of the axle to clear the web space for the Connecting Rod.

Available from end of May 2010 The second type that will suit GWR locomotives which have 26” throw crankshafts with elliptical shape webs such as: -
Armstrong 4-4-0; Collet 0-6-0 2251 class; Aberdare 2-6-0 2601 class; Badminton 4-4-0; Atbara 4-4-0; Flower 4-4-0; City 4-4-0; Bulldog 4-4-0; Bird 4-4-0.
